Separated Child

deprived denied detained displaced

Imagine…

Imagine having to flee your homeland because of war, terror, or persecution…

Imagine being a child or young person…

Imagine not having your parents with you because they were killed before you left or were unable to leave…

Imagine arriving in a strange country, seeking asylum, completely alone…

Imagine having absolutely nothing.

Now imagine
being able to help.

What we do

The Separated Child Foundation offers emotional, social, financial and physical support to separated children and young people in Britain up to the age of 21. We also engage in educational activities that raise awareness of their needs and encourage positive responses to them.

Covid-19 Update

The Separated Child Foundation is very aware of the trust that our funders, supporters and volunteers place in us to provide support to separated children when they arrive alone, vulnerable and often traumatised in the UK. Find out what we have put into place.

Support us

By choosing to donate to The Separated Child Foundation you will be making a real difference to the lives of the vulnerable and traumatised children we support. We rely on your donations to enable us to provide our services to support separated children when they need it.

Welcome to Karen!

Karen Ashcroft joined us in June as Packing Coordinator to support the growing demand for our arrival and sleep packs. Karen is already a much valued packing volunteer, and comes to us with a background in logistics and a lot of experience that is relevant to our project.

Child Refugee Stories

The voices of the children we support are powerful. We have collected some of their stories and projects that they have been involved in. These are informative and moving.
